Hiking

So some of us from EM went to Mount devil.. uh, Diablo, for some hiking. We parked at the summit and took the trails that took us around the area.

Weather was kind of hot, but John didn't bring shorts:

So he rolled up his jeans like them Asian rice farmers.

Anyways, we wanted to go to this rock:

So we set off, but the trail maps confused us. So we're having a group meeting after getting lost:

But then we decided to take a group photo:

Everyone's still getting ready for the group photo. Jenny wanted the picture taken fast, and she was glad not to have photographer paid by the hour (he was kinda slow yesterday. No wonder Richmond EM managed to hire him for free.)

Everyone's just chilling as the sophisticated photo equipment is being set up for our group shot.

And finally, a test shot:

The photographer forgot that he himself wasn't in the picture.

This is it! Our beautiful group shot with the lush greens (yellows?) of Diablo in the background.

After a while, people who still wanted to go check out that rock split off from the rest of the group and set off on their own.

Some pics on our way to the rock:

That's our train pose above.

Seems like DJ and Jimmy got the pose down, but what happened to Jonathan and Andrew?

Jonathan always closes his eyes in the pictures. But he smiles at the camera anyway.

Just then...

We found the rock!

At the top:

We climbed up and down:

And headed back to where the rest of the group was chillin' - the summit. Jimmy couldn't wait for this moment.

We wanted good food, and lots of food - and realized Claim Jumper's is nearby. Jimmy and John text messaged that restaurant for reservations.

That's it~ We set off to have some great ribs.
Meanwhile, Bonnie had her portrait taken:
